Of course it’s that time of year again…shopping and preparing for all the upcoming holiday fare. Every year I struggle with finding the perfect gifts for the family. From the kids to parents to the in-laws, it’s always a challenge. I have found that some of the best gift giving I have done has been in the form of travel or an adventure.  Last year a few days spent in New York worked out to be the perfect mother/daughter gift. Touring the city and enjoying a show proved to be one of the most memorable gifts ever. Really who can remember what was in that box so nicely wrapped? A ski trip to Canada provided the perfect experience for an active adventurer who has everything. No mall shopping required when you purchase this sort of experience.

So if you are looking to avoid the crowds of Black Friday and want to give someone a gift they will always remember, think about a weekend cruise, a shore excursion (perfect for someone who has already booked a trip), or even a family trip over the holidays (it’s not too late to book).
